The headquarters of SOLVED is the city of Cologne. With more than one million inhabitants, it is the most populous city of the North Rhine-Westphalia county, as well as the fourth largest city of Germany after Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. With people from around 180 different nationalities, and a 35% share of the total population of Germany, Cologne is the multicultural heart of Germany.

In comparison to other regions of Germany, Cologne espeically stands out for its friendly, unique, and open-minded culture. It is easy to make new contacts or get to know people. The University of Cologne is also a large and renowned university, making Cologne a city full of students and academics from all corners of the world.

Cologne expresses its cheerfulness, its pragmatism and its criticism of authority with the Kölsch dialect, which is a living language with its own culture and history. Cologne's love is also reflected in it's nightlife, where in the evenings you can hear beloved Kölsch tunes from every pub, and the sound of people of all ages singing along to them.

Here in Cologne, we love our cathedral; more than six million people visit this UNESCO World Heritage site every year. This 157.38 meter high Gothic cathedral, has the second highest church tower in Europe, and contains the shrine of the three kings. It pays to climb the approximately 400 steps, as once you're at the top, there is a wonderful view of the whole city and its surroundings.
